Big Boy Turquoise Coral Silver Cuff Bracelet
There are many legends about Turquoise; The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and that it helped overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit. Hopi Sterling SILVER Eagle Dancer Kachina Buckle
It took almost 4 ounces of Silver to make this buckle and it is a very heavy gauge belt buckle. This one is meant to be worn with pride. This incredible buckle was hand made from start to finish and is perfect down to the matting. This buckle features the overlaid image of the traditional Eagle Dancer Kachina design. This image was hand cut with perfect precision out of shimmering Sterling Silver and overlaid onto the Sterling Silver buckle which has been hand stamped and oxidized to create contrast. Silver on Silver, you can't go wrong with that. Made in our shop by master silversmith JR Jackson. This impressive buckle is 2-3/4" by 3-5/8". The keeper is 1-1/2". Stamped Sterling. Signed with our hallmark. Overlay is created by "sweating" or soldering two pieces of silver together. The top piece contains a design element which is meticulously cut out of silver. The bottom piece is oxidized and often textured with stamping to produce a contrasting background. Then carefully filed, buffed, and polished to produce this fine finish. “100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED” |
