This Big Boy Navajo Indian Jewelry Turquoise Coral Silver Cuff Bracelet is an impressive piece of hand made Native American Jewelry. This Turquoise and Coral Big Boy bracelet is definitely not for the meek at heart. This fine piece of jewelry features a cuff that was hand made from a very heavy gauge of Sterling Silver. And, this Bracelet has a traditional Navajo Indian chip inlaid design made from genuine Turquoise and Coral. The Turquoise and Coral come together to make a Pueblo Indian runner design. This Sterling Silver cuff bracelet has been hand stamped with fine line designs. Made in our shop. This Turquoise and Coral bracelet is 1-1/2" wide. It'll fit a 7" to an 8" wrist. Stamped Sterling. Signed with our hallmark.

There are many legends about Turquoise; The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and that it helped overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.

Mata Ortiz Hand Coiled Indian Pottery.
This is a one of a kind! This is a very desirable design from Casas Grandes Valley. Fine pottery such as this is distinguished by its beauty and balance. This Traditional Design pot is of prime quality with delicately hand coiled walls. This is an excellent piece of art with its symmetric hand painted lines and designs. An addition to your collection to be proud of. It is hand made and signed by Manuel Olivas, and stands 6-1/4" tall, ~7-1/4" wide and the circumference is ~24-1/4" with a ~2-1/4" opening. Manuel Olivas is one of the best potters of Mata Ortiz, and he has been profiled in the book The Story of Casas Grandes Pottery by Rick Cahill. Includes coordinating ring stand.

Technically and aesthetically, Casas Grandes pottery equals or surpasses the work of the Indian potters of the American Southwest. It is made with clay from the mountains high above the village of Mata Ortiz, painted with human hairbrushes and natural pigments (minerals and roots of plants). It is hand-formed, without the use of a potter's wheel, and is dung fired.

For centuries, the Indian peoples of the Southwest have fashioned pots from the native clay and baked them beneath the fiery desert sun. Today, we are proud to offer you this hand-painted, hand-coiled clay pot. Beautiful workmanship and stone polished finish.
